ACCOMMODATION
Flexible accommodation tailored to the workforce
From its organic layout and communal spaces to climate-responsive design and thoughtful material use, SHRA promotes connection, comfort, and dignity. It’s a new benchmark in regional accommodation designed with people in mind.
Each accommodation type features a range of passive and active zones fostering comfortable, productive and healthy lifestyles.
ROOM DESIGN
Assessed by Dr Jack Tooley, Head of Spatial Design at Monash University, the village design draws on national research into FIFO camp environments and worker’s accommodation.
SHRA’s village and spatial design responds to critical insights around workforce satisfaction in remote and regional areas.
Key factors such as quality of sleep, access to green space, social connection, and perceived safety were identified as drivers of mental health and staff retention. These insights have directly informed our approach, from acoustically considered room layouts to thoughtfully landscaped communal zones that foster connection and rest between shifts.
